2012 - Junior Nationals in Winnipeg
A strong showing was put in by BC Juniors at the Junior Nationals in Winnipeg April 22-26th. Three players are Canadian Champions for the first time! Grace Killins in 10-under girls' singles, Josh Killins and Chris Culhane in 12-under boys' doubles. Josephine Choi also brings home a Gold in 14-under girls' doubles, teaming up with Jewel Sauve of Quebec. The same team was 2nd in the 16-under doubles. Nadav Dinur teamed up with Ontario's Trevor Webb to win the boys' 14-under doubles, and Anthony Schonberger won silver in the 18-under boys' doubles with Mitch Brayley of Alberta. Sivan Dinur and her partner Jessica Nelson of Ontario placed third in 18-under doubles. Chris Culhane was also 3rd in singles in 12-under.
This year's group was bolstered by a hard-working, determined crew from Kelowna who did themselves proud, and gained a lot of experience playing at the nationals level. Only hosts Winnipeg, Brandon, and Regina sent more players from one city to Junior Nationals. Congratulations to Teghan Braun and Matthew Lafontaine who were among a lot of highlights for an enthusiastic Team Kelowna, with 2nds in the yellow category of boys' 16-under and 18-under singles, respectively.

2012 - Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting of the BC Racquetball Association was held Saturday April 7th at Newlands. A copy of the Annual Report was made available at the meeting; click to download an electronic copy.
The BC Racquetball Association would like to thank Outgoing President Cheryl McKeeman, and long-serving Board Members Diana Hambley, Ken Slade, and Gord Hay who are all leaving the Board for their years of dedicated service to the Association and outstanding contribution to racquetball in our province.
