BC Juniors,

We discussed during the Junior Nationals about putting together a summer elite junior clinic that would eventually involve players from two or three western provinces.  Informally, Alberta, Manitoba, and BC are interested in putting something together for the summer of 2010. 

This year, to start the ball rolling, so to speak, we would like to hold a smaller camp during the third week of August at REVS.  Sebastien has agreed to host the camp, which will have two basic streams - competitive (hosted by Sebastien) and developmental (hosted by Steve and Debbie). 

I.  The competitive camp is for juniors looking to structure an appropriate off-season training program, sharpen up particular aspects of their game, and build on last season's experiences in local, provincial, or national competitions.   

II. The developmental camp is for players just interested in getting together and enjoying themselves over the summer AND for newcomers to the sport.  An introduction to racquetball clinic will be included.

** Some of the activities will be shared with players from both groups, such as warm-up, cool down and other activities, and fun games with mixed levels

The plan at this stage is to have a 3-4 day camp during the morning and early afternoon - much like the spring Nationals Training Camp.

One offer I'd like to put out is for you to BRING A FRIEND to RACQUETBALL!

Here's the deal, if you bring a new or almost new player (only played a few times, or never played in a league) - and you register together, you get a 2 for 1 deal!   So, if you have a brother or sister, or friend who is new to the sport, you can attend the competitive camp and they can be in the court next door in the developmental program.  It is a great way to introduce someone who has never come out before, or only a few times, to our great sport.

Registration will cost $50 per player  - there may be a chance to get a reimbursement if we do car washes during the camp???
